29 July 2019

When you live at Ara Hills you'll have many opportunities to make the most of the outdoors -  here are a few highlights:

Ara Hills backs onto Nukumea Reserve 172ha of Reserve. This Department of Conservation-owned land features pristine native bush and provides a stunning green backdrop to Ara Hills which is alive with wildlife and birds.

Ara Hills will have a network of walking trails linking villages, dotted throughout the site will be various 'pocket parks' and playgrounds. Adjacent to the retail centre there will be 'central park' as a focal point for the community.

Alive Eaves Scenic Reserve (Eaves Bush) is just six minutes away by car has several easy walking tracks through mature Kauri and Nikau, and if you go at night you may see glow-worms.

The glorious natural oasis that is Wednerholm Regional Park with its tranquil sandy beach is a 12-minute drive away. Here you can swim, kayak or walk the bush trails up onto the headland where you’ll get stunning views up the Puhoi River Valley and out to the islands of the Gulf.
