What our first residents love about Riverton.

Meet Mark, Anita, Clay and Tai Waterman - the very first residents to make Riverton Jimboomba home after completing their build with Burbank Homes in September 2020.

After a long search for the perfect place to settle as a family, the couple fell in love with the area and its laid-back feel.

“I love the peace, the sound of the wildlife & seeing the Air Balloons rise early in the morning on weekends.” says Anita.

“It’s 2mins from all supermarkets & there is a good variety of takeaway shops.”

“I love going to the country markets, having a choice of takeaway foods when I don’t feel like cooking & also the little cafes to go and have coffee when meeting up with friends. I also like driving home from work knowing it’ll be peaceful when I get home.”

“Most of our friends and family have mentioned how nice it is here & seem to enjoy visiting a lot more.”

Being their third home purchase they are old hands at the buying process but this is their first ever time building. After visiting the Riverton Sales and Information Centre finding their ideal block of land was easy.

“Paul Fossey was a wonderful help he was very thorough and took us to have a look at the blocks.”

They settled on a 698m2 block allowing them plenty of space to build a dream home for their family.

“I looked at many display homes and had considered some of the more popular builders but Burbank seem to have great designs which I felt was more suitable for our lifestyle and their staff were absolutely wonderful to work with.“

The Waterman’s are heavily involved with sport with Mark training both his sons in boxing. Their oldest son Clay was a Bronze Medalist at the 2018 Commonwealth Games for Boxing finishing his Amateur Boxing Career as one of Australia’s most highly decorated Amateur Boxers. He turned Professional Boxer at the beginning of 2020 and is currently a full time athlete. Their youngest son Tai is yet to debut and works in Collingwood Park at a DC making it an easy commute to work.

Now that they are settled into their home they are even happier with their decision to build at Riverton Jimboomba.

“I’m absolutely loving life in Riverton.”

“I do have family & friends not to far away it’s a lot more convenient to catch up with them more often then I previously did. They visit me & I visit them a lot more.”
