Rochedale was officially opened in 1931 to serve the southern edge of Brisbane City and today the current enrolment exceeds 1010 students from Prep to Year 6. As an Independent Public School, Rochedale continues to explore innovations in learning to ensure the best outcomes for all students.

Rochedale State School is committed to the learning development of the whole student, preparing students to be active and responsible global citizens with an inquiring mind. The school curriculum focuses on the National Curriculum with Chinese and French being the languages other than English. The IB learning framework aims to link classroom programs to real world learning opportunities and encourages students to take action in response to what they have learned. Students have the opportunity to be involved in numerous extra curricular activities including: instrumental music, choirs, interschool sport, swimming club, basketball club, netball club, music acting and dance squad and opti minds.

Rochedale State High School has a proud and strong academic, sporting and cultural history that is built around the philosophy that each student possesses a unique set of characteristics, talents and abilities.

The school motto of “Performers for Every Stage, Talents in Every Field”, captures the school’s intention to recognise and harness the individual‘s strengths and talents and to shape meaningful futures for every student. To achieve this, the school maintains in a focus on quality relationship. Respect for all members of the community and a sense of community is a strong feature of the school. Relationships are based on the notion of mutual respect and complement the development of the individual. High standards permeate the school culture, standards of dress and appearance, attendance, behaviour and work ethic contribute to each student's development and achievement. Redeemer Lutheran College

A co-educational P-12 school of the Lutheran Church of Australia, Redeemer offers a holistic education with clear expression of the Christian faith in which all College relationships and practices are shaped and informed by the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Pastoral care of students and families is a distinctive feature of the College's ethos and many parents refer to RLC as “the caring school”.

A chaplaincy and counselling team provides valuable support. As students progress through Redeemer they are encouraged to be actively involved in the worship life of the school. They are also given opportunities to be involved in service activities and to develop their social conscience.
