The Renee 6 sale and celebration.

We are pleased to announce that the Renee 6 home at Riverton, Jimboomba was officially sold on Saturday 26 February 2022, by private ballot draw!

14 April 2022

Despite extreme weather and flooding on the originally planned day, we were able to celebrate the sale of the Renee 6 charity home last Saturday, 9 April 2022, alongside the new homeowners, supporters, and the wider community.

Congratulations to Joe and Lily, the proud new owners of the Renee 6 home, which sold for $587,900. The proceeds of this sale will go to the Steve Waugh Foundation, supporting young Australians with rare diseases. We extend our heartfelt thanks to the generous suppliers, contractors, and supporters who donated their time, materials, and expertise to make this project a reality. This achievement wouldn’t have been possible without your incredible contributions.

The stylish Renee 6 home boasts 3 spacious bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, 2 living areas, a multi-purpose room, and a double lock-up garage on a 420m2 block. It also features innovative design elements like keyless entry, a parcel letterbox, and an app-controlled garage door, along with several accessible inclusions to cater to families of all abilities. This home is truly one-of-a-kind.

In addition to securing this remarkable home, Joe and Lily also became the proud owners of a unique piece of Indigenous artwork, donated by Jimboomba State School. Year 1 students, together with acclaimed Indigenous artist Cheryl Moggs, created this meaningful artwork especially for the new homeowners to display in their home.

To mark the sale of the Renee 6, Steve Waugh joined the AVJennings team at Riverton, Jimboomba on Saturday, 9 April to meet and congratulate the new homeowners, while also thanking the supporters who played a role in this remarkable project.

Special guest Juliana, a Steve Waugh Foundation grant recipient, shared her inspiring story and spoke about how the foundation’s support has impacted her and her family. Her moving words were a highlight of the day, reminding everyone of the real difference this partnership is making.

Following the formalities, Riverton residents and the local community were invited to join in the celebrations, which included free food trucks, a jumping castle, live music, and entertainment. Celebrity guest Steve Waugh also took time to sign autographs and meet excited locals, adding to the joy of the day.

AVJennings is proud of its partnership with the Steve Waugh Foundation, bringing together two iconic Australian brands with one shared vision—to significantly improve the lives of young Australians who suffer from rare diseases.
