Riverton by AVJennings is proud to announce the recipients of the 2024 Community Grants Program. Being part of the Jimboomba community, we recognise the vital role local groups and organisations play in fostering a sense of belonging and enhancing the quality of life for all residents. Through our Community Grants Program, we continue to support the incredible work these groups do to strengthen and enrich our community.

This year, we are thrilled to award a total of $15,000 in grants across three outstanding local organisations. Each grant is designed to empower these groups to expand their initiatives and further impact the Jimboomba community in meaningful ways.

Emmaus College Agricultural Department - Ensuring Safer Learning Environments
The Agricultural Department at Emmaus College is dedicated to providing students with hands-on learning experiences in farming and animal care. The grant awarded to Emmaus College will facilitate the upgrading of their cattle yards, ensuring safer handling of cattle and offering students a secure environment to learn and grow. This investment in student safety and education underscores our commitment to fostering learning opportunities in the community.

Lions Club of Logan Village: Cooking Up Community Spirit
For years, the Lions Club of Logan Village has been at the forefront of community fundraising efforts, tirelessly working to support local initiatives and bring people together. This year’s grant will fund a new BBQ cassette and modifications to an existing trailer, enhancing their ability to conduct fundraising events across the community. By equipping the Lions Club with these resources, we aim to bolster their capacity to drive community spirit and support charitable causes in Logan and beyond.

Jimboomba Community Garden: Cultivating Growth and Connection
The Jimboomba Community Garden is a vibrant space where locals come together to grow fresh produce, share gardening tips, tell stories and connect with one another. With the grant received, the garden purchased a cage trailer, enabling members to easily collect mulch, manure, soils, and other large donated items without having to find funds for costly hire fees. This will not only enhance the garden’s operations but also encourage greater community participation.

As we celebrate the 2024 Community Grants Program recipients, Riverton by AVJennings reaffirms its commitment to building an even stronger, more connected Jimboomba. These grants reflect our belief in the power of community and the importance of supporting initiatives that drive positive change and foster unity among residents.

We congratulate this year’s grant winners and look forward to seeing the positive impact they will continue to make within our community.
