Production Estimator

The role

The Production Estimator is responsible for the ongoing maintenance and pricing of new and existing products and the successful operation of estimating systems. The position is also responsible for negotiating direct contracts on all built form suppliers, contactors and sub-contractors and to ensure optimum process services and quality are achieved.

Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Prepare BOQs/production work orders and release in line with the budgeted build program.
  • Ensure that the estimating formats and procedures deliver optimum performance in terms of speed and accuracy.
  • Coordination of any Variations, RFI’s, EOI and payments.
  • Monitor and appraise performance of suppliers, contractors and sub-contractors continually for consideration in future allocation/work agreement decisions.

Skills & experience

Ideally you will have experience in a similar role, preferably within volume housing. Sound knowledge of the residential construction industry and understanding of the residential construction methodology is required. Experience with contracts administration is preferred but not essential.

Your negotiation, communication and interpersonal skills must be well-developed.
